elementec 3.4 with improved CLI support support released
The new release elementec::bcm 3.3 fully supports Windows 10 and comes with an improved installer.
elementec::bcm 3.2 was released and brings new functions for managing RTO and RPO values. An integrated consistency check allows for a quick overview of the current state of the recovery planning for business processes, services and resources.
The product business of elementec Software & Consulting has been transferred to the newly founded elementec GmbH (Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung, capital company). With this step, we want to lay the foundation for future development and still serve our existing customers as a reliable partner.
Anti-virus products from Avira reported an trojan infection for the elementec::bcm installer. Specifically the file IManager.exe was reported as infected. Now, Avira has confirmed that this is a false alarm (see Avira report)
The new version fixes a problem when calculating criticalities of hierachically structures objects, which use folders. Also elementec::bcm is now ready for Windows 8.
With this version, the license system was updated. The Community Edition is freely available and can be used without restrictions. For using the Enterprise Edition with additional functions, only the purchase of a maintenance plan is required. For customers with valid maintenance contract, there is no change.
With the release of elementec::bcm 3.1 on August 1st we will reorganize our license system.
The free Community Edition allows access to professional Business Continuity Management with a proven tool.
By entering a maintenance contract customers have access to the Enterprise Edition with user and permissions management as well as logging functions.
