elementec Software & Consulting Dr. Peter Kullmann, located in Stuttgart, Germany, has released version 1.3 of its emergency management software IncidentManager.
The handling of the software, which facilitates the structured management of emergency-relevant information, has been simplified further. Additionally, the integrated report generator has been improved and accellerated.
The elementec IncidentManager is an information system, which integrates the different aspects of emergency management in one product. Besides the documentation of emergency-relevant information like organizational structures, the availability of key personnel, responsibilities and spatial information, complex disaster plans are defined and represented as graphical diagrams. Additionally, elementec IncidentManager allows for the interactive execution of response plans in the network, while the actual progress of the emergency response actions is continuously logged. This is useful for the later evaluation of emergency and training cases as well as the successive improvement of the emergency strategy.
Another strength of the system is its seamlessly integrated report generator, which allows to freely layout reports and emergency manuals. It creates a comprehensive printed emergency documentation from the contained information with the push of a button.
elementec IncidentManager offers network and multi-user support. A detailed authorization system ensures data security. The software runs on Windows (98, ME, NT, 2000, XP) and has low hardware requirements. Thus, it can be used on a notebook in stand-alone mode as well as in large-scale network environments. An interface to external data is given by a flexible import function.
